Who: Ages 8+ and completed Swim England Learn to Swim Stage 6 (or equivalent)
Costs: Between £18 - £48 per month

Rookie Lifesaving
Our awards based Lifesaving section follows the RLSS UK awards scheme which includes:
National Lifesaving Academy - designed to provide skills for life which includes beach, pool and open water elements (for ages 12+)
Rookie Lifeguard - gives your child the skills they need to be confident in the pool or the sea (for ages 8+)
Life Support & Life Support 3 - CPR, including the diagnosis and treatment for choking, bleeding and shock
A lot of the awards also serve as a great foundational knowledge for future NPLQ and Lifeguard candidates.

Lifesaving with us can also help contribute towards:
Duke of Edinburgh - Lifesaving skill and sport can be used towards gaining this fantastic award.
NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) - Achieving a Bronze Medallion award with us - will reduce the amount of time needed to train for an NPLQ award by 7 hours. Lots of Lifesavers work towards an NPLQ award as their first job as a pool Lifeguard.
UCAS points - completing the NPLQ qualification (from May 2024) will contribute 8 UCAS Tariff points which helps towards University placements.
Whilst we don't offer the NPLQ course ourselves - the Bronze Medallion award servers as a perfect foundation to the NPLQ course and will help candidates pass the course should they decide to pursue that qualification.
